PDP Accuses APC Of Plot To Alter Edo Election Result

The Peoples Democratic Party has accused the All Progressives Congress of plotting to change the results of the Edo State governorship election.

National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, stated that the APC wws heaping pressure on the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission to extend the results of the party or totally change the election leads to some polling units.

He added that the INEC virtual portal was becoming increasingly unreliable, making it simple for the results of the elections to change.

We were also told that the INEC president was under extreme pressure from the APC to approve the declared results within the riverine areas of the state, "Ologbondiyan said."

We even have knowledge of the trade plots being pursued, resulting in the beating of Edo North by Fugar and other neighboring local governments.

"We appeal to the INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, to not fall for this pressure within the interest of the unity and cohesion of our country.

We have the results reported by the different polling units and advise INEC to confine itself to the results already reported by its officials in the polling units.
