According to the statement, Delta APC will not remember him in any way because the APC dismissed him out of sympathy as an orphan politician left by the same PDP back to him.

“Two weeks ago, there were rumors of a complete overhaul of the former PDP's rebellion. Today, September 28, 2020, those without this rumor have been justified in officially leaving the PDP.

"Yes, for record purposes, Gov. Uduaghan came to the APC alone, and returned to his place of origin at the same time.

“Politically and in line with freedom of assembly as guaranteed by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria of 1999 as amended, you have the right to choose who you will associate with for any reason.

However, he must not forget the fact that when the PDP could no longer live in him, he was housed by Delta APC, even though he did not bring anyone, ”the party said.

Yoruba Leaders Calling For Break Up Of Nigeria Acting Against Awolowo's Ideal, Says Former Minister

A former Minister of Transportation, Chief Ebenezer Babatope, has said those calling for the break-up of Nigeria are working against the principles of the late Yoruba leader, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

On Wednesday, the President-General of the Yoruba World Congress, Professor Banji Akintoye, announced that the democracy of over 55 million Yoruba people in the South-West would be achieved by making the Yoruba people autonomous sovereign Yoruba nation without violating the law of Nigeria or spilling blood.

Ex Minister of Transportation, Chief Ebenezer Babatope

The retired Don said, "We're saying that we're going to have a Yoruba country,". The Yoruba World Congress is dedicated to helping the Yoruba nation protect its place within the commonwealth of nations.

But Babatope described the decision as premature for the Oduduwa Republic.

"Speaking to Vanguard, he said," Such people, including Professor Banji Akintoye, know that if Baba Awolowo were alive, the Nigerian hack would never be involved. All.All we would like may be a proper definition of the federalism we operate.

“Those that are calling for restructuring are right. Calling for Oduduwa Republic is premature. We haven’t gotten thereto stage. once we get thereto stage, all folks in Nigeria will agree.

“If we are getting to have an Oduduwa republic, it'll come from the weather who don’t want proper federation.”

Also, a former envoy to Philippine, Ambassador Yemi Farounmbi, described the decision for Oduduwa Republic as a call for participation to chaos.

"He said," First, citizens have to comply with the Republic of Oduduwa. meaning they need to have had a referendum or something similar. i'm not aware that this has been done. i'm not aware if anyone was given the mandate to demand such.

“I am conscious of people clamouring for the restructuring of Nigeria, but not the disintegration of Nigeria for the emergence of Oduduwa Republic. i'm not aware that anybody has been authorised to demand an action that would cause the massacre of our youths.

“I am not aware that anybody has been authorised to form a choice that would cause “python dance” in Yorubaland. it's not a sensitive thing for a pacesetter to try to to .

“What people are saying is for us to travel back to a structured Nigeria where power was decentralised. If we will do this , maybe we might minimise the agitation for the disintegration of Nigeria.’’

Insecurity: Pastors, Families In Southern Kaduna Paid N420 Million In Ransom In 2019, Says SOKAPU President

President of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU), Luka Binniyat, said pastors and their families who sleep in the world paid up to N420m as a ransom to Fulani herdsmen in 2019.

Binniyat said that there is a government-sponsored displacement drive within the local governments that make up Southern Kaduna, contrary to President Muhammadu Buhari 's argument that the killing of Christians might be a cultural thing.

He said SOKAPU had 80,000 registered refugees in four local governments, displaced from 109 villages.

According to him, of these communities are settled on by persons of Fulani extraction, who are now farming on the seized lands.

While addressing his cabinet at a ministerial retreat on September 8, Buhari said he assured the American president "that there is nothing to try to do with race or faith, killing Christians". It’s a cultural thing, which the respective leadership was failing the state .”

Binniyat wondered when ransom collection became a neighborhood of the cultures

“It is either Buhari is deprived of information, or he's displaying his notorious incompetence in handling matters of security,” Binniyat said. “In 2019, in four rural communities in the Chikun and Kauru local governments alone, N420 m was paid to Fulani kidnappers and robbers by pastors, their families and Christians.

Our Southern Kaduna experience is that Muslim Fulani people are killing, plundering and driving people out of their communities and live in these communities now. What sort of culture says you ought to displace and kill people?”

Between 1980 and 2011, when individuals described as supporters of the new president by the Sheikh Ahmed Lemu Panel went on a killing spree to protest his defeat, everyone went to protest his defeat. ethnoreligious violence in Kaduna has always had an identifiable root cause, the literature on the topic shows.

Since 2013, however, attacks became more consistent, intensifying in 2015.

Binniyat said the present reality may be a recurring pattern of kidnapping and killing targeted at Christians.

He said, “The violence is targeted at Christians. In some areas, in Chikun, there are not any churches again. The survivors of those attacks say the attackers shouted ‘Allahu Akbar – God is greatest’.

“We have consistently cried that as at today, 109 communities of Southern Kaduna in four government areas are seized by the Fulanis who are occupying them. If the president isn't in-tuned with this reality, then it's a shame.”

Binniyat said while the bandits killed people, state and federal actors enhanced the displacement drive through policy moves.

“These Fulani bandits are encouraged by the statements of Nasir El-Rufai within the case of Southern Kaduna and therefore the complicit silence of General Buhari. they'll be attacking Hausas in Sokoto, Jigawa, Katsina and other places; they're not occupying their lands like they're in Southern Kaduna.

“The plan isn't only within the use of arms; it's also within the use of state policy. there's an area called Kachia grazing reserve. It is 33,000 hectares in size. He confiscated land and increased it by 74,000 hectares for the exclusive use of Fulanis when El-Rufai came into power. One hectare is like one and a half football fields.”

“The only federal project in Southern Kaduna is found in Laduga, a Fulani settlement and Southern Kaduna is quite half Kaduna,” he added.

While evidence exists that points to the ethno-religious nature of the attacks, a source said that the control of those brute invaders also affected peaceful Fulani communities.

The source, who preferred to remain anonymous, said the federal government paid lobbyists inside the United States government to downplay the severity of the Fulani bandits' murder and maiming.

“Every time you report about what's happening in Nigeria, there's a United States government official which will go and counter it; paid by the Nigerian government,” the source said.

“We try to collect incontrovertible data on killings across the country that the Nigerian government cannot argue against in order that we will get the American government to send an envoy,” the source said.

For two years now, a gaggle within the US, Save the Persecuted Christians, has gathered signatures from quite 100 organisations, asking the United States government to send a fact-finding diplomat to research targeted killings in Nigeria and Lake Chad .

The United States government , on March 9, announced plans to send an envoy to research militant attacks within the Sahel region, which incorporates Nigeria.

The terms of reference for the appointed diplomat doesn't include bandit attacks within the North-West and North-Central.

“It is obvious that these bandits have some agenda type backing,” the source said. “The way these Fulani herdsmen come, a helicopter re-supplies them once they are shooting, a helicopter takes their wounded and drops fresh attackers. they can't buy the guns they are available with.”

The source said the president was either genuinely unaware of the interior security situation in his country or was masterminding the masterplan and playing dumb.

Femi Fani-Kayode’s Third Wife, Regina, Describes Him As A Caring Husband, Claims They Are Still Together

Regina Amonoo

Regina, a Ghanaian, during a Facebook post on Tuesday, claimed that contrary to media reports, she was still married to the previous minister

The revelation comes amid controversy over Fani-Kayode’s fourth marriage to former beauty queen, Precious Chikwendu.

“Chief Femi Fani-Kayode is my husband. In 1997, we were married in Accra , Ghana, under traditional law and custom, and in 2002, we were married under the Wedding Act at the Apapa Registry in Lagos , Nigeria.

“Anyone who knows Femi well knows that his greatest vulnerability is those he loves, and he'll do anything for them. he's a warm, kind, generous, gentle, intelligent and loving man who isn't scared of anything or anyone and who takes care of his own. From the very beginning of his relationship with Precious he told me about it and that i accepted it in straightness .

“Reports within the media that we are divorced are fake and suggestions that i used to be treated during a bad way by him or subjected to any sort of abuse at any time within the 23 years that we've been married are malicious and false,” she said.

Recall that Fani-Kayode, who was earlier within the news for his verbal assault on a journalist, recently separated from Precious, his fourth wife, after six years of marriage.

NaijaGistReporters gathered that the rationale the wedding collapsed was thanks to violence .

The former minister, it had been learnt, accused Precious with whom he had four sons of infidelity.

Sources told NaijaGistReporters that the previous minister started physically abusing the ex-beauty queen from the primary year of their marriage -- an equivalent fate that befell her predecessors.

The violence, it had been gathered, increased because the years glided by .

FFK, because the ex-minister is usually reffered to, was said to possess ordered Precious to abort her last pregnancy, claiming it didn't belong to him.

The sources said Precious ignored him but received savage beatings, including for the recalcitrance on her belly.

A source said that in the presence of their home helpers, Fani-Kayode often hit the lady aggressively and often threatened her with a pistol by putting the gun in her mouth to warn her against squealing.

He sometimes instructed his bodyguard to hit the ex-beauty queen.

He also frequently pummelling Fani-Kayode's first child, Saratu Attah, whom he married when he was 22.

Sources said the lady , daughter of the late Adamu Attah, was viciously beaten for requesting a swimming bath in their home on Marine Road in Apapa, Lagos.

FFK's next marriage to minister Yemisi Odesanya, daughter of a judge.

After having remarried, she is now referred to as Yemisi Wada.

In newspaper interviews, the lady told stories of Fani-Kayode's viciousness and lack of look after their daughters, the rationale that he was excluded from the wedding of 1 of them, Temitope, in 2014.

Despite the disconnect between him and therefore the children, FFK never fails to advertise his "love" for them on Facebook on their birthdays.

Zamfara Government Cries Out As N10bn Earmarked For Construction Of University In State Is Diverted

The Zamfara government has raised the alarm over the diversion of N10bn earmarked for the development of a state university under the administration of former governor Abdulaziz Yari.

Commissioner for Finance within the state, Alhaji Rabiu Garba, raised the alarm during an appointment with journalists in Gusau, the capital, on Tuesday.

He said finance records showed that the cash was allocated and transferred in two tranches but the cash was diverted, PM News reported.

Zamfara Governor, Matawalle.

"Garba said," The previous administration within the state had transferred the amount of N10.8bn from the N37bn reimbursed by the federal to the state for the construction of 14 federal roads based on the records available to us.

“We also discovered that in May 2019, N10.8bn was transferred to the project account of the university by the previous administration in the name of State University construction.

“The amount was transferred in two tranches, that's N5 billion each, and subsequently, N850m was also transferred to an equivalent account on 9th May 2019.

“But instead that the quantity transferred to be used for the said project, the cash was diverted to other issues that don't have anything to try to to with The project at university.

Dismissing the accusation, Alhaji Mukhtar Idris, the Commissioner for Finance under Yari 's administration, said it was politically motivated.

Idris said the past administration had initiated a special account for the university project, advising Garba and therefore the government to verify issues before going public.

He added that projects were executed at the location of the university with a part of the cash , while a balance was left within the project account.

"He said," N4bn was left within the record of the money to be expressed by the new Finance Commissioner and Rabiu Garba and is a section of the money acquired by this organisation.

Before offering dubious expressions to the media, let this organisation clarify the multibillion Naira capital efforts controlled within the college, Talata-Mafara.

Kano Governor, Ganduje, Briefs President Buhari About Musician Sentenced To Death For Alleged Blasphemy Against Prophet Mohammed

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has briefed President Muhammadu Buhari of the case of Yahaya Sharif-Aminu, a musician sentenced to death in Kano for allegedly singing a song deemed blasphemous against Prophet Mohammed.

Ganduje disclosed this when he spoke with journalists at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday, PUNCH reports.

Ganduje, who said the President had been placed on notice, refused to disclose the position of Buhari on the matter.

He said that the house of the daddy of the accused was burnt by locals “but the boy was secured, charged to court and sentenced to death”

Kano government and therefore the Sharia Council have come under intense attack following the death sentence of the musician.

The African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights in Banjul, Gambia, has appealed to the Human Rights Lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, about the option of a Upper Sharia Court in Kano State sentencing Sharif-Aminu to death over the song.

Falana is asking the commission to exercise its mandate and authority under the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights and pursuant to the commission’s order 100(1) of the commission’s Rules of Procedure, 2020.

Amnesty International has also called on the government to quash the conviction and death sentence of Sharif-Aminu.

The musician was on August 10, 2020 sentenced to death for the alleged offence.

Appealing the death sentence during a suit filed on Thursday at the Kano State supreme court by his lawyer, Kola Alapini, Sharif-Aminu said he was dissatisfied with the judgment of the Shari’a court.

He defined the Kano State Penal Law 2000 as unconstitutional, null and void, having violated the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999) grossly and in conflict with it as amended.

IBEDC appeals to customers over poor electricity supply

Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) Plc management has apologised to its valued customers in Mowe, Ibafo and Magboro for the inadequate electricity supply to the regions.

Its Chief Operating Officer, Mr John Ayodele, during a statement on Tuesday, said that the dismal power situation being experienced within the communities was a shared challenge between IBEDC and therefore the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

ALSO READ: BREAKING: I’m Disappointed In INEC –Obaseki

He said that the three communities got their supply from Oke-Aro 132KV/33KV transmission station, and allocation by TCN for the world It was 13 MW, whereas about 40 MW was needed by the communities.

As TCN could not allocate the energy needed to serve all buyers within the communities, Ayodele said, the only alternative was to deploy intensive load management.

According to him, this may make sure that customers have equal hours of daily supply.

“Another major challenge is that the 33KV which may be a straight network is solely under the control of the TCN.

“Whenever there's a fault, the traditional routine is that our engineers must get approval from the TCN before repairs can commence, and this process may be a bit challenging.

“Also, counting on the character of the fault and therefore the terrain of the network affected, the method becomes more cumbersome,” Ayodele said.

He said that IBEDC was performing on the reconstruction of the old Owode-Egba network to enable a number of the communities that enjoy the newly commissioned Abeokuta Transmission Station at Kobape.

“We also are appealing to our unmetered customers during this locality to require advantage of the Meter Asset Provider Scheme (MAP) to urge metered.

“Our staff are on strict schedules to make sure that customers’ issues are promptly addressed,” he said.

NUPENG Vows To Resist Deregulation Of Petrol Price Based On Importation

Secretary-General of the Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Gas Workers (NUPENG), Afolabi Olufemi, says that the union would not support the withdrawal of subsidies from the federal government for the price of petrol pumps, provided that products are processed within the country.

Olufemi said that the Jonathan and Buhari administrations had misled the Nigerians by using the proceeds from the withdrawal of subsidies to refurbish the country refineries.

At the first-year ministerial retreat, President Muhammadu Buhari said in his opening remarks to his cabinet that the federal government was too frail to control the subsidy scheme.

The NUPENG boss, however, said the Jonathan administration had in 2012 promised to take a position in repairing existing refineries with the funds from the negotiated subsidy cuts.

Olufemi said the Buhari government had made an equivalent promise when it came into office in 2015 and altogether eight years later, from 2012, nothing had changed.

Our position has been unchanged right from the beginning, "he said." We do not want to help deregulate imports.

READ ALSO: School Building Collapses In Lagos

“Since 2012, what has the govt done to place our refinery right since 2012? In 2011, subsidy payment was N2 trillion-plus. In 2012, it had been N1 trillion-plus. Now it's dropped to about N760 billion. In 2016, there was no subsidy in the least . With the savings, we've made thus far , what have we through with it and what's the state of our refineries?”

The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in March 2019 commissioned Italian firms, Maire Tecnimont and Eni to hold out repairs on the Port Harcourt refinery.

The first phase of the project was to last for 6 months at the value of $50m.

The NNPC promised last year that each one the country’s refineries would be working at full capacity by 2022.

The Group director , Mele Kyari, had in July of 2019, said that the three refineries would be ready before the start of 2023.

The corporation has since shifted the deadline, with several officials stating on different platforms that they hoped to urge all refineries on stream by 2023.

READ ALSO: FBI uncovers fresh evidence against Hushpuppi

While Tecnimont is predicted to handle the engineering, procurement and construction of the 2 refineries in Port Harcourt, the corporation has yet to state who would lookout of repairs in Warri and Kaduna.

Olufemi claimed that distribution firms should assess all their customers and show proof of service before seeking higher pay.

“They have deceived us; they need lied to us several times. Are we getting to continue believing them? The argument in 2012 was that they were removing subsidies to extend the local refining capacity which we might be ready to economize to extend local capacity if we reduce subsidy. For eight years, nothing went on .”

Contrary to the federal government’s claim that it might not subsidise petrol prices; however, it's maintained a sort of cost reduction on the retail price of the merchandise through a currency subsidy.

NNPC is Nigeria’s primary source of exchange . The company takes dollars at source to meet the country's fuel needs.

With the refineries idle, through an immediate selling and direct purchasing contract, the company trades the country's national allocation of 445,000 barrels per day for refined petrol.

By this suggests , NNPC has been the only importer of the merchandise since 2017, meaning there's no competitive marketplace for petrol actually .

Explaining why organised labour’s intention to start a strike to protest electricity tariff increase for patrons receiving Twelve hours of power and above, Olufemi said that the distribution companies had not invested enough to demand a pay rise per kilowatt-hour.

"He said," It's convenient for the buyer to place a strain on him. those that bought these assets from the federal were alleged to have the technical competence and financial muscle, and that they are alleged to have done due diligence, and that they have failed at delivering of these . Why should the masses buy their mistakes?”

Before seeking higher pay, Olufemi said the distribution companies should meter all their customers and display proof of service.

“In our electricity industry, it seems like if you're getting to the gasoline station together with your car, you've got to bring your fuel pump,” he said. “They should meter all their customers and show that they're providing service before asking us to pay more.”

The industry experts have asked the Nigerian government to ease the burden on electricity customers by denominating the pricing of gas sold within the Nigerian market in naira.

This, they say, would help power generating companies to scale back their cost of production.

Pastor Denies Attempting To Rape Nigerian Woman He Allegedly Trafficked To Lebanon

Damilola Oyeyemi, 20, who had recently been repatriated from Lebanon to Nigeria, where she was trafficked, was accused of attempted rape by her trafficker before she left Nigeria.

Oyeyemi said Afolayan told her she was scheduled for a test in Lagos as a part of the procedures to secure her travel papers but unknown to her, the pastor’s wife was out of the house.

“His wife may be a nurse,” she said. “She has one week off and one week on. I didn't know that she was on duty that week. He came to my room in the dark . I had already slept. He woke me up and told me to return to his room which he wants to roll in the hay me. I said if he tried that with me, i might tell everyone. that's why he left me alone.”

Afolayan denied Oyeyemi’s accusation.

“I am a pastor. In Jesus’ name, i might never rape anybody,” said Afolayan when contacted by NaijaGistReporter.

On how she travelled to Lebanon, Oyeyemi said Afolayan reached bent her mother.

“He told my mommy that he features a job offer on behalf of me in Lebanon. He told my mommy to pay N300,000, but we were only ready to pay N200,000.

But since all travel arrangements were typically settled by agencies in Lebanon that contract African women for domestic services within the Middle East country, Oyeyemi was not required to pay any cash to travel.

She said when she arrived in Lebanon and located the work to be too tough; she requested to be sent back to Nigeria.

“When I called him to mention I wanted to return to Nigeria, that the work was too difficult, he told me he didn't have any business with me. He said I should confirm I send him his money.”

Oyeyemi, who was only 19 when she was told to wash ceilings and fans while standing on a ladder, said she didn't make enough money to pay the pastor the remaining balance of N100,000 he demanded.

She said she worked for fewer than three months before asking Abu Hussein, the agent who purchased her to return her to Nigeria.

“When I returned to the office, he beat me mercilessly, he deprived me of food and locked me up for 6 months. i feel it had been during the COVID-19 lockdown. So, he decided to not find another madam on behalf of me .”

She said she was deceived by the agent, who sold her in Nigeria, that she was getting to teach English.

“I realised i used to be not getting to be an educator , day one among my time within the house of the primary employer. My madam woke me up to return and clean. i used to be shocked. I told her i assumed i used to be alleged to teach. I cried for 2 weeks and made them to require me back to the agent’s office.”

Oyeyemi said she was first beaten to remind her that she needed to start out performing her domestic duties.

“After beating me up, he took me back to my boss’ house. Later, I suffered a leg injury and told my supervisor to take me back to the office. The agent beat me up again before finding medical care on behalf of Anyway, me anyway!”

She said she was able to put pressure on Hussein to return her to Nigeria with the help of some NGOs in Nigeria, but by then, the airports had been closed due to the pandemic.

Oyeyemi said she was booked to fly back to Nigeria five times when evacuation flights started for other stranded Nigerians in Lebanon, but Hussein prevented her from boarding.

She said along side other six Nigerians, Hussein insisted that they might spend another year within the country before he would allow them to go. But she said persistent pressures from NGOs and Nigerian officialdom finally led to their rescue back to Nigeria in August.

Pastor Afolayan, however, said that his sister-in-law, not him, facilitated her visit Lebanon and denied ever asking her to pay him money.

I never asked for any money from this lady or her mother to pay me. All the cash they paid I transferred it to my sister-in-law who frequents Dubai,” Afolayan said.

REVEALED: How Buhari Spent Five Years Repeating Same Lies About Oil Price And Production

Nigeria 's President, Muhammadu Buhari, managed to conjure up false estimates of the country's boring during his term, and thus the average price of a barrel of oil during his predecessor 's tenure, amid multiple facts-checks of his false statements.

Many of the differences in the President's misconceptions have emerged in his published speeches and off-hand remarks..

During his closing speech to his cabinet at the ministerial retreat at the Presidential Villa last Tuesday, Buhari added another dubious claim. He said the country’s boring nosedived to at least one million barrels per day thanks to attacks from militants.

Buhari’s first recorded claim came in July 2015.

Then he spoke about the effect of the oil price crash, which averaged about 100 US Dollars between 1999 and 2015, saying that the fall to about 30 dollars a barrel a few weeks ago was surprising. ‘I would are during a coma if not for the very fact that i used to be in oil (sector as a past minister) for 3 years,’” Garba Shehu, the president’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity wrote about what Buhari told the Niger Delta Dialogue and get in touch with group led by King Alfred Diete-Spiff during their visit to Presidential Villa in 2015.

Again, in his Democracy Day speech the subsequent year, Buhari updated his claim about the typical oil price during the tenures of his predecessors.

“The past few years have seen massive flows of oil revenues. From 2010, average oil prices were $100 per barrel.”

While addressing the country on October 1, 2016, he made an equivalent false claim about the typical oil price, adding that militant attacks had reduced Nigeria’s boring in his tenure to but 1,000,000 barrels per day.

“Oil price dropped from a mean of hundred USD per barrel over the last decade to a mean of forty USD per barrel this year and last,” he said. Worse still, the damage done to pipelines by Niger Delta thugs often reduced Nigeria 's output to less than a million barrels a day compared to the typical two-million-point barrels a day.

In November 2016 , the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS, Kuru, Plateau State, graduated from Senior Executive Course 38. Presidential Villa to deliver a study on poverty reduction, Buhari reiterated his favourite lie.

“For 16 years and eight consecutive governments of the opposite party, you recognize that there was unprecedented revenue realised. The oil projection, which may be verified, was 2.1 million barrels per day. 1999-2015, the typical cost of every Nigerian barrel of oil was $100 per barrel. once we came (elected), it fell to but $30 per barrel and is now oscillating between 40 and 50.”

In his 2017 Independence Day speech, Buhari said, “Recall the recent journey from 1999 to 2015, when our nation happily returned to democratic rule.

Despite oil prices being a mean of $100 per barrel and about 2.1 million barrels each day , that great piece of luck was squandered, and therefore the country’s social and physical infrastructure neglected.”

Interacting with members of the Buhari Support Organisation in 2018, he said, “I challenge anybody to see from Europe, America and Asia; between 1999-2014, Nigeria was producing 2.1 million barrels of petroleum per day at a mean cost of 100 USD per barrel and it went up to 143 USD. It collapsed to 37-38 USD once we were (elected), and later oscillated between 40 and 50 USD.

Although threatening the media and unleashing the Department of State Protection on Nigerians over reports of hate speech and disinformation, both Buhari and his speechwriters continued to propagate false news.

Forgetting that whatever he says is usually considered as news, the president continued together with his dubious claims while addressing his cabinet at the first-year performance ministerial retreat held last Tuesday within the Presidential Villa.

“I want the Nigerian elite, please encourage them to guage us fairly. From 1999 to 2014, the typical production was 2.1m barrels each day . the typical cost was 100 American dollars per barrel. once we came it collapsed to 37 and 38 dollars per barrel, you recognize it. The militants were unleashed on the administration, and therefore the production went right down to half 1,000,000 barrels each day .”

Despite proving that Buhari’s claims about average oil price are false, the president has refused to backtrack from spreading misinformation .

Using the worth basket compiled by the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Dubawa, a fact-checking news outlet, found that the typical cost of a barrel of petroleum from 1999 to 2014 was about $61.

Both Dubawa and therefore the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR) have separately found that only between 2011 and 2013 did petroleum price ever averaged above $100.

Also, the president’s claim that Niger Delta militants forced boring right down to half 1,000,000 barrels per day when he came into office is fake .

In October 2015, the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) began publishing monthly financial operations results.within the first month of every year, it states the typical daily production per month for the For the 12 previous months of the preceding year.

Data gathered from its January 2016 monthly operation scorecard shows that the typical daily petroleum production for 2015 was estimated at 2.13 million bpd. Only in June 2015 did boring slip below 2 million bpd.
