Komi Selom Klassou
Komi Selom Klassou, Togo’s Prime Minister, has resigned his position within the West African nation’s government.
Klassou has served as Prime Minister since 2015.
He resigned late on Friday after serving within the government of President Faure Gnassingbe, who has ruled the country for 38 years.
Gnassingbe congratulated Klassou and his team for his or her “economic, political and social efforts and therefore the encouraging results despite the health crisis round the world".

The resignation comes as a part of a political reshuffle expected within the country since Gnassingbe was re-elected in February for a fourth term in office.
The president's election victory, which came after a constitutional reform that allowed him to run, extended the Gnassingbe family's dynastic rule over the previous French colony for quite a half-century.
The victory was disputed by the most opposition challenger, who has faced official harassment within the wake of the votes.
