Policeman Kills Teenager In Abuja

A policeman, Johnson Samanja, has been arrested for killing a 19-year old boy, Jonah Samson, in Abuja.

On Saturday in Dutse-Apo, a slum community in the Apo District, the victim was shot and killed by Samanja.

FCT Police PR Officer, Yusuf Mariam, confirmed the incident during a statement on Sunday.

Mariam said the Commissioner of The police officer, Bala Ciroma, ordered the incident to be investigated.

“The policeman identified to possess shot the deceased has been arrested, detained and can be charged accordingly.

“While commiserating with the family and friends of the deceased, the Commissioner of Police wishes to ensure members of the general public that the command are going to be lucid in its investigation and make sure the findings are made public,” a press release by the police said.
