Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, has narrated how his deputy, Lamidi Adeosun, saved his life when he was ambushed by Boko Haram terrorists within the North-East.
Buratai disclosed this in Kuta, Ayedire government Area of Osun State, on Monday.
He said Adeosun, who is that the present Chief of coaching and Operations, was a competent officer, whose effort in rejigging the military paved the way for the successful operations within the battle against insurgency within the North-East.

He said, “When I had the primary ambush, he was with me within the vehicle, by my side. It happened on the 18th of September, 2015, and that i can see the courage he exhibited.
“And he was ready to mobilise the troop to counter the bandits, the criminals, the terrorists out of the way. So, his elevation isn't new me. He deserves it.
“When i used to be appointed because the Chief of Army Staff, I met Lamidi Adeosun at the North-East. I met Adeosun because the operations commander there and he started the Nigerian Army rejigging processes and we started our upward and democratic push towards Boko Haram 's technical defeat.
